Today was the annual Christmas Parade at Val Vista RV Park.
Today was the annual Christmas Parade at Val Vista RV Park. I walked our two dogs, Mr. Baker and Mr. Grindstaff in their cute costumes, while Dagmar was in another part of the parade dancing with the line dancers. Afterwards we went for a dip in the hot tub followed by relaxation around a gas fire pit. As we sat by the pit many others stopped by to talk, asking us about our travels, and telling us about theirs. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!!

Well we got up early to see the sunrise on Death Valley from Zabiskie's Point. Thought we'd be the only crazies there but no, turns out there are a lot of other crazies too. After that we headed straight to Dante's View, a spot about 5500' above Badwater with a magnificent view of the Death Valley. Then later on in the afternoon Dagmar decided to ride the 15 mile loop of Artist Drive. We had driven it earlier in the week and thought it would make a great bike ride. Wow, were we wrong. First, it is a never ending up hill climb for about 6 miles, then a couple of miles of up and down hills following by another 6 miles of steeply down hill to the point of impossible braking.
