Missouri State Fair Trip
Drove to Sedalia on Friday to visit the Missouri State Fair. Gary and Anita went with us in the motor home.
We went especially for the Sheryl Crow concert on Saturday evening which turned out great!! She can really sing and has a lot of stage presence. She just seems totally comfortable and natural, which you would think would be difficult to do in stiletto heels, but she manages it.
Besides seeing the concert we watched numerous animals on exhibit. Of course the State Fair is really all about choosing the best animals so there is a lot of competition between various ranches for producing the best horse, cow, pig, goat or whatever.
We also took a bike ride each morning exploring a bit of the city. The Katy Trail passes through the heart of the city and we rode on or criss-crossed it several times on our rides. On the second day we came across the restored Sedalia train station and couldn't resist having a bit of fun.

Mobile Posting
Downloaded a new app for my phone to try mobile blogging. This is older picture from my phone. This is a great picture that shows Dagmar's 'spunkiness'. This is taken on the island of Puerto Rico when we visited the El Yunque rainforest a part of our Caribbean cruise back in April. See all about our trip here.

Retiring on 8/31/2010

Well is almost here, 2 short weeks, and then our first retirement trip in our motorhome. We bought this beauty last October and have since been on a 2 week trip to Texas and several shorter excursions. Now we're planning a trip in September to Michigan. Generally driving along Lake Michigan shoreline to Traverse City, then cutting across the state to Utica for a High School Class reunion on September 25th. I graduated in 1965 and this will be my first reunion. From there we head back to KC to attend my nieces wedding on October 8th.
