Visiting Capitol Reef National Park area during the heavy rains that a week later moved in to the Boulder, Colorado area and did such damage there. Highway 24 through the park was closed and reopened several times while the road was repaired after the rains. The scenic drive through the park was closed the whole time. And of course hiking in the back country was too dangerous because of flash flooding possibilities. Still we got to see the park as beautiful and dangerous in a way that as tourist is rare.

Doctor said they removed the clot 35 min after we arrived at the hospital. Tomorrow I can ride a bike, Friday, I can start playing Pickelball again although not at full speed. Monday, everything is back to normal. Thank you every one who helped us in any way.

Added video of what it looks like to drive up Shafer Trail.

Added video of what it looks like to drive up Shafer Trail.

We had no idea what to expect when we visited Canyonlands National Park.

We had no idea what to expect when we visited Canyonlands National Park. Boy, were we blown away by the raw beauty of the place. The canyon vistas just seemed to go on forever. Shafer Trail descended from the cliffs down into the first level valley where you could drive the White Rim road, about 100 miles of serpentine navigation. We attempted to go down Shafer but about 1/2 way down we started getting to nervous to continue so we found a wider spot in the road and made a hasty retreat to safety. Have some good videos of the drive but wasn't able to load them up over our slow internet connection.
