This morning we left Kansas City heading for Enderlin, ND. where we're joining Phillip & Amber for Amber's family reunion. Made it about 450 miles to Watertown, SD before settling in at the Dakota Sioux Casino. Free 30amp hookup and a dump station. Just after we finished dinner a huge storm rolled in packing 50mph winds. We were in one many years ago in the Bad Hills of North Dakota that wreck our friends camper so we were a little worried about this one. Grabbed the dogs, our important papers, the two computers and headed inside the casino to wait it out. Turned out that it wasn't too bad and we returned back to the motorhome in about 1/2 hour.

August 1st saw us moving the last from our house into the motorhome. We had done it and were officially full-time RV'ers, can you believe it?!! We had a final evening out with our boys, their wive's, and grandchild. It was so much fun, we hadn't connected like that for a long time. We decided to spend our first night at the World's Fun RV park and let Evly have a taste of how her grandparents would be living. That was fun for her and us both!! In the afternoon we took her home and then visited my Dad and Violet. He is still doing pretty well but wishes he could walk better. He turns 89 on August 23rd. Violet is also doing well but her knee and foot are giving her problems. Later that evening we went to Jose Peppers with Allison and Delfina, Dagmar's biking girls, and enjoyed dinner, conversation and a last goodbye.

Had a wonderful, if hot, evening at Rich & Stephanie Song's Kansas CityWedding reception.

Had a wonderful, if hot, evening at Rich & Stephanie Song's Kansas City Wedding reception. They were married several weeks ago in Toronto, Canada where Rich grew up. A second reception was held in Postville, Iowa where Stephanie grew up. The third reception was held in Chris & Ashley Liem's backyard, Stephanie is Ashley's sister. Stephanie has been attending a ministry school in California the last three years, and that is where she met Rich.

The final month countdown begins.

The final month countdown begins. One month from today should find us on the road full-time, with our house leased. We have hired a company 'Classic Property Management Company' who will be finding a tenant for us this month. They currently manage 270 properties in the Northland area and are very familiar with Kearney. Already had 4 successful Garage Sales and are gearing up for another two weekends before donating what is left to charity. Every week sees more and more things leaving our house, hoping the timing will be good and we'll have a bed to sleep on until the last day!! One of the larger items we need to sell is our 2000 Saturn SL1, asking $2700. All automatic gets 33mpg!
