Love the great job Google+ did of automatically picking photos from this last year and combining them into a slideshow for 2013. Gives a nice perspective of our travels in 2013!

Took Evly to go see FROZEN for the second time (hers, our first). I cried in the movie!! Can't believe how good the animation was and the story line!!

Went bowling with Isaac and Phillip after the Chief's loss on Sunday. We had to do something uplifting after watching the Chiefs lose to the Colts!! Anyway we bowled 4 games apiece and had a really good time. It's been years since we went bowling together.

Visited with Violet today.
Visited with Violet today. She's looking so much better now that it's been almost 6 months since her heart valve replacement sugery. Her heart doctor said, after 3 months she would be cussing him out still, but after 6 months she would forgive him, and it's really been true!!

One of our friends from a church we attended for many years mentioned how much they missed hearing Dagmar singing Silent Night in German. This was something she did most every year in church for years. We found a recording of it that she did in the San Jose Mission Church in San Antonio, Texas a couple of years ago. Hopefully I can also find a way to post a link of this on Facebook for the original requester.

Bryce Canyon is loaded with 'hoodoo's', those funny standing up guys. When you get up to almost 10,000' , it can be cold even in the middle of summer, hence our jackets.

Panguitch, Utah was a good location to visit quite a few outstanding sites. We drove about 35 miles up a 10,000' mountain to take in the Cedar Breaks National Monument. When we got up there it looked like the whole backside of the mountain just fell in on itself. Totally unexpected and beautiful!!

Enjoyed a neat walk with the dogs through parts of Red Canyon just outside Panguitch, Utah. These rocks are almost 'carrot red', just a really striking color.

A couple of clips from our time Panguitch, Utah.
A couple of clips from our time Panguitch, Utah. We stayed there while we explored Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Kodachrome Parks. We meet a real character in the RV park we were staying at, and he rented us an ATV and took us for an all day tour in Red Canyon. What a blast!! I didn't think Dagmar would enjoy the trip especially with me driving and her being scared, but much to my surprise she really loved it.

Haven't had much time to post things since we got to our winter home in Mesa, Az, so we'll do what we can. Things could get very out of sequence so we'll just live with it!! This was a Saturday morning hike to the beginning of Snow Canyon, St. George, Utah with the dogs. A more beautiful spot would be hard to imagine. Unlike something like the Grand Canyon where you struggle for perspective, Snow Canyon is just the right size for human beings to appreciate it without being overwhelmed!!

Huntsman World Senior Games are over here in St. George. We had a wonderful time at the games and exploring the area. My partner, Harold Kieta from Buffalo, NY, and I took 4 out of 23 teams in our skill level and age group. Hope to post more pictures next week after we move to Mesa, Az for our winter home.

Bill, they do have a pretty nice Elks Lodge here in St. George with 12 electric only hookups. It wasn't listed in the online RV Elks sites, I don't know if it is in the hard copy book. Nice facilities.

Visiting Capitol Reef National Park area during the heavy rains that a week later moved in to the Boulder, Colorado area and did such damage there. Highway 24 through the park was closed and reopened several times while the road was repaired after the rains. The scenic drive through the park was closed the whole time. And of course hiking in the back country was too dangerous because of flash flooding possibilities. Still we got to see the park as beautiful and dangerous in a way that as tourist is rare.
