Its been a long time since the dogs had a really good run so we decided to take them on a nice hike on Mt. Lemon. We chose to the Sycamore Reservoir Trail which was a rugged spot where the government put a Japanese World War II internment camp. Not much left but a few rusted water pipes, several concrete foundations and of course the reservoir. Our friend Bill Boyce, who's starting to warm up to our dogs, agreed to go with us. In fact, it was at Bill's suggestion that we chose the Sycamore Trail.

The water running is melted snow from a recent cold spell up in the higher elevations. We hardly ever encounter running water in the desert. Our dog Grindstaff loved tromping through the little stream.
