Haven't had much time to post things since we got to our winter home in Mesa, Az, so we'll do what we can. Things could get very out of sequence so we'll just live with it!! This was a Saturday morning hike to the beginning of Snow Canyon, St. George, Utah with the dogs. A more beautiful spot would be hard to imagine. Unlike something like the Grand Canyon where you struggle for perspective, Snow Canyon is just the right size for human beings to appreciate it without being overwhelmed!!

WOW ONE beautiful woman and 2 handsome MR's! Oh the scenery is good too!
Hugs s
Great pic! Beautiful . All beauty.
That must be St. George to the left and Las Vegas in the pollution several mountains to the south. Where is the Snow Canyon State Park? Another place we missed! Darn, you guys are getting way ahead of us on neat places. BTW, We are heading south tomorrow (Wednesday) morning!!!
Very beautiful ... thanks for sharing!
Bill Boyce So Bill, did you get on the road this morning?
Yes! a little after 10 am. We are staying overnight in Lakeview, Oregon, elevation 4,700'. It will definitely get below freezing tonight. They had a snow storm here on Monday and there are still remnants on the roadside.
And you did it again. Beautiful subjects
Caroline, you did it again, what a nice comment!!
Okay! I've been trying to locate where you took this photo. Two days ago we drove the park road. I hiked out the Butterfly trail just above the campground. It is that red rock lumps in the green valley below the white rocks on the left. You must have driven north of the park out near Veyo on Hwy 18 to find this trail. Unfortunately, I can't take that long of a hike. That is Awesome! We did stop at the pie shop in Veyo for chicken pot pie and a slice of volcano pie. YUM!
Only about a two mile hike from the trailhead
I believe it was Red Mountain Trailhead. Keep to the left and take the Snow Canyon Overlook path.
Ok! We saw the sign to red mountain trailhead. It was more important to have chicken pot pie at that time.
Chicken pot pie over a great hike?
Unfortunately, we were running out of gas, then we were too full to do any more hiking...does that sound plausable???
didn't think so...
If the weather cooperates tomorrow we may attempt it.

Hi Dave,
We decided to head south to Boulder City, NV tomorrow, Saturday for two nights. Might be a bit safer than going to Page. Then we'll make a decision to either go to Flagstaff and south to Sedona or take one of the side roads and go through Jerome or Congress to Sedona.
I did talk to Becky, the new Elks lodge secretary today. You and Dagmar and Shirley and I are signed up to serve or whatever they have us to do on Thanksgiving day. I begged off of being dinner drivers as we aren't familiar with the area. (Hmmmmmmmmm that might make it more fun!!!) We are to sign in by 9:30am and be relieved around 11:30am or so. Last time we went until the end at around 1pm. Should be a rewarding experience.
Bill
Sounds good!! Looking forward to helping out. Thinking of leaving our car here. Can we hitch a ride with you if we need to...?
Great! No use dragging the car up here just to drag it home.
