Hiking Sugarloaf Mountain in the Chiricahua National Monument. A measley 450' climb gives you stunning views all around.

Thanks for sharing.  Great view.  My knees might be good enough to do that hike.

Bill Boyce The dust storm wasn't coming until the next day that's why we high tailed it out of there at 7am in the morning. We got a real dust storm in Alamogordo yesterday with 40 mile/hr sustained winds all afternoon.

Joe Sallot I'm sure you could do it with your rebuilt knees. It was a pretty gentle incline all the way to the top. Are you and Jean home now?

I wonder what the deal is with the high winds and dust storms this year. You don't be needing to see where the dust is coming around the windows and doors! Today, the wind blew in snow showers in the mountains around here. The tops of all of the 12,000' peaks are white. That's why we're heading back south to Albuquerque tomorrow am, Friday.
