Today we decided to explore a couple of places we passed earlier in the week when we visited Darwin Falls. The first was Stovepipe Sand Dunes, a fairly small collection of dunes that were/are being creating by the erosion of the surrounding mountains and the prevailing winds. The second was Mosaic Canyon, a magical place created by rushing water.

wow! Never realized the sand dunes at Stovepipe were so extensive. They looked insignificant so never bothered. Have to do that next time. Thanks for the Mosaic Canyon photos. Remember it now. We debated climbing that ridge. I think I did but just found the other side of the mountain! That was the year we got home and blew the hard drive on the computer so lost all of the Death Valley photos. I back them up now...
