Got our bikes out this afternoon and did a little bit of exploringaround Council Bluffs and Omaha.

Got our bikes out this afternoon and did a little bit of exploring around Council Bluffs and Omaha. The weather was again perfect and we took it slow and easy as we were just sightseeing. Later that evening we took in the light show at the Riverfront Park. It was a magical evening watching the kids play we the cityscape for a background.

Had a wonderful day at the Omaha Zoo.

Tried too take a little video of our granddaughter LuluBelle when I got a little too close to her and she grabbed the phone. We wrestled for a while over it until she got it into her mouth. Well I pulled it out a little too quickly and screamed a little too loudly - poor qirl, I think I shocked her a  little too much!!

Today was the first day back on the road == what a crazy of a day!

Today was the first day back on the road == what a crazy of a day!!  Just yesterday the motorhome's in dash air condition was repaired after waiting almost two weeks for the parts. So we got as far as St. Joeseph before discovering that although the air conditioning was working great we now had no heater. So we made an 1 1/2 hour trip back to the repair shop to see what was wrong. Turns out a little plastic control valve was sticking and needed replacing. However the valve had been obsoleted and the replacement was now $267 along with figuring out the new wiring harness update for it. Decided we would wait a while longer to see if the old valve would quit sticking and headed out for Omaha, Ne. again. This time we got a little north of St. Joseph before a tractor/trailer rig jackknifed right in front of us. Thankfully nobody was hurt, even the driver of the rig was OK, but shaken up. After 10 minutes or so the police showed up and the driver was able to jockey his rig back and forth until he got the trailer out of the ditch. Who knows how far traffic was backed up by then, but it could have been a lot longer if a tow truck had been needed.

Visiting Violet, my step-mother, in her new digs at Village Shalom. She was released from the hospital on Thursday, one week and one day, after her open heart surgery to replace a faulty heart valve. She probably has another 3 weeks there before heading home.

Competed in the Sunflower State Games Pickleball tournament with PeterTsui.

Competed in the Sunflower State Games Pickleball tournament with Peter Tsui. We were fortunate to take 2nd Place winning a Silver Medal. Kansas City area has proved to be a very good area for Pickleball with most of the area community centers having some play during the week. The level of competition is very good with many 4.0 level players. Looking forward to playing again here next year!!
