We spent about a week in Seattle. We were able to stay in an Elks Club in Burien, a suburb of Seattle. It was only about 20 minutes from the downtown area and made everything very convenient. We visited Pikes Place public market the home of the first Starbucks! After that we took in the Chihuly Garden & Glass exhibition. We've never seen such glass work or the way he uses to create all kinds of new and different works of art. We met up with Heather & Sam for a great Salmon dinner. Heather's a great cook, and Sam is one of those guys that's not afraid of heights. He assembles those great big construction cranes they use for erecting buildings. We had a great evening catching up and really enjoyed their family. She put us on to a great spot for hiking called Poo Poo Point. Its also the local launch for Paragliders. We spent a great couple of hours watching them take off, searching for thermals to give them a long ride.
